In the late 1960s, a group of people started meeting in Russellville, AR to have church services. They would meet in different places ranging from the local power company meeting room to the VFW Hall. They would get there early in order to clean up the party from the night before. As the Bible states, "A good work has began"(Phil. 1:6)

In 1968, a couple by the name of Chester and Ruth Kent donated about 2.5 acres to the church group to build on.  The building was constructed and the church began to grow.  Unfortunately, in 1972, that building burnt and would have to be rebuilt.

1976 rolled around and God called pioneer pastors Rev. Mickey and Madelyn Shields to Russellville to continue the work in AGT.  After 41 years of heartfelt labor and continuing God's work, the mantle was passed to present pastors Keen and Nesha Shields.

Since 2018, Pastors Keen and Nesha have continued laboring in love and the beautiful work of God. God is blessing and adding to the church such as should be saved! (Ephesians 2:20-22)

AGT was founded on prayer, love, and the belief that the power of Jesus can transform the heart and mind of anyone.
After much prayer, consideration, and seeking God’s guidance, the name of the church was changed to Transformation Life  Church. (2023)

At TLC we pray that our vision grows and is directed by God for many, many more generations to come, as long as he tarries.  (Proverbs 29:18)
